Anna Troise is President, North America at Springer Nature.  Where she leads the company's growth, external engagement, and relationships across the U.S. research ecosystem. Previously, she served as Chief Commercial Officer at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and has held senior leadership roles at Wolters Kluwer, John Wiley & Sons, and Nature Publishing Group. With more than two decades of experience spanning scholarly publishing, education, and commercial strategy, she is passionate about helping organizations leverage innovation and emerging technologies to advance their missions. Anna holds a B.A. from Bates College and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Manny Rosales serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the State of Michigan and is a member of the Department of Technology, Management and Budget's (DTMB) executive leadership team. In this role, he helps shape the state's enterprise technology vision, driving strategic initiatives that advance digital government, strengthen cybersecurity, modernize technology platforms, and improve the delivery of services to Michigan residents, businesses, and state agencies. Manny also served on the DTMB AI Core Team, helping guide the state's approach to artificial intelligence governance, responsible innovation, and the adoption of emerging technologies.

Prior to becoming CTO, Manny served as General Manager for Agency Services within DTMB, where he directed technology delivery and strategic IT partnerships for multiple state departments, including DTMB, the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. His experience leading large-scale technology organizations has helped drive enterprise transformation, operational excellence, and cross-government collaboration.

An alumnus of Michigan State University, Manny brings more than 30 years of experience spanning telecommunications, software development, insurance, IT consulting, and public-sector technology leadership. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives focused on enterprise architecture, digital transformation, IT governance, strategic planning, portfolio management, and technology modernization. Manny is passionate about leveraging technology, data, and innovation to create secure, resilient, and citizen-centered government services for the people of Michigan.

 As President of MISA, Brad has been a driving force on the board for more than seven years, with four years leading the organization at the helm. Professionally, he puts his analytical expertise to work as the Senior Business Needs Analyst for Agency Services supporting DHHS at the State of Michigan (SOM). Passionate about bringing the MISA community together, Brad is a familiar and energetic face at the annual conference—whether he's overseeing the event or hosting the conference’s signature Jeopardy game show. He is thrilled for this year's upcoming gathering, which is shaping up to be the most exciting event yet. 

Resilience and Covey Circles

Ti’Kyra Napoleon is the Organizational Development and Belonging Officer at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. In this role, she is responsible for leading the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work groups, the employee resource groups, and developing and administering the diversity and inclusion programs for the department in alignment with the DTMB’s mission, strategic direction, values, and goals. 

Ti’Kyra has experience building mutually beneficial business partnerships as well as community partnerships. She has led efforts in higher education/student affairs and financial services prior to her work in State government. Her passion is in promoting accountability and awareness around belonging through identity development, driving employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.

Beyond the Inbox: BEC, Network Intrusions, and the New Age of Cyber Attacks 

Jack Drew is one of two commanders for the Michigan State Police Cyber Section within the Intelligence Operations Division. He has oversight over the Michigan Cyber Command Center (MC3) and the Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) offices based in the south of the state. The offices form part of the Michigan region of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) that consists of an additional 51 affiliate law enforcement agency members throughout Michigan.

MSP Cyber conducts advanced cyber and high-technology criminal investigations, including complex network intrusions, evidential forensic data recovery, and proactive operations addressing the online exploitation of children. The organization also supports public awareness efforts and delivers specialized outreach, education, and training for law-enforcement and partner agencies.

Mr. Drew is working to extend outreach efforts with cybersecurity-related organizations and groups throughout Michigan. An information technology professional since 1997, he has worked in different roles for education, telecommunications, health, and government organizations. He joined the State of Michigan in 2016 and worked at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) Security Operations Center and its Incident Response team for five years. He is a lifelong learner, holding a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and several cyber security industry certifications.

Daniel Morgan Heidt is a long-time technology fanatic with a passion for customer & employee satisfaction. There is an argument that he has always been in the technology industry as he followed computing infrastructure trends from a very young age. A passion for problem solving and collaborating with others led to helping companies with network, network security, and Y2K remediations in the late 90's; then things got interesting. Daniel spent a significant part of his career unraveling technical debt and securing mission-critical infrastructure with Higher Education and Local Government including Airports and Utilities. Daniel has a fierce desire to bring enterprise experience to all customers. Taking the time to discover the customer’s technical details, ROI, and desired business outcomes is where the journey begins. Daniel is focused on the people and sharing strategies for creating a successful Hybrid Cloud journey. Join him for a smart conversation and make a friend.

 Denny is a purpose driven, resourceful leader with 25 years of experience delivering strategic technology solutions to State & Local Government and Higher Education (SLED).   As a Strategic Account Executive at Glean, he built on prior roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), MuleSoft, Tableau, Pegasystems, IBM etc. Denny is  passionate about matching innovative software to mission-critical needs to drive meaningful impact for the public sector clients he serves.

Zach Fleener is a Senior Advisory Solutions Consultant at ServiceNow, covering State and Local Government in Michigan and Illinois. He has spent over seven years at ServiceNow and more than a decade leading IT and technical services teams in the biotech industry. Zach is passionate about problem solving and uses it to help organizations connect technology strategy to business outcomes.

He lives in Dexter, Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and all kinds of games, from card games to escape rooms. He also volunteers with several local charities, including Gamers Outreach, MCWT, and Ronald McDonald House.

With more than 25 years in technology and cybersecurity, Francis has co-owned a Michigan technology consulting firm and held engineering and sales roles at leading security and data protection companies. He is known for building long-term client partnerships and turning complex security challenges into practical plans.

A Michigan native from East Jordan, he now lives in metro Detroit and spends most of his free time outdoors across the state with his family.
